South East England is a highly popular area amongst tourists and travelers. This is probably because it is located so closely to the capital of England, London. Because of South East England’s varied landscapes, it has a lot to offer tourists and is very much appealing to visitors. It boasts beautiful historic cities and towns which are definitely worth seeing. This area of England consists of the following counties: Isle of Wight, Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. South East England contains lots of well-known towns that would be of interest to the traveler. These include Brighton, Dover, Oxford, Canterbury, Windsor, and Southampton. Other places to see if you are looking for great sights would be The Cotswolds, Hever Castle, The Thames, The Downs, Blenheim Palace, The Chiltern Hills and The New Forest. Of course, there are many more places of interest and places to see but it does depend primarily on what you are after. All in all, South East England offers something for everybody.
